TEEN NEWS Plans are being made for Arctic Blast at the Camp on February 17-19th. Registration forms are in and will be available on the entryway tables for the youth to sign up to attend.
Shema will be meeting the second and fourth Sundays of each month for their meetings. Meetings are scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
Penny Pile Sunday continues on the first Sunday of each month. Proceeds from the Penny Pile help to support Camp Sonrise Mountain.
Continue to remember our youth in prayer as they serve God in their activities.
ARCTIC BLAST February 17-19 at Camp Sonrise Mountain. Youth, grades 6 through 12, are invited to attend. Cost will be $55 per person. Activities and programs for the youth are scheduled for all weekend.
If you would like to attend, pick up an application on the table in the fellowship hall foyer or see Becky Rodriguez or the youth leaders. Registrations and fees must be to Becky by January 31st.
Others can help with Arctic Blast by donating food and other items. There are “snowballs” hanging around the sanctuary and fellowship hall with items needed for the weekend. If you would like to help, just take one or more and have the items listed on them back to the church no later than February 5th marked for Arctic Blast. See Becky Rodriguez for further information.
QUIZ TEAM
The team is studying Hebrews and 1st and 2nd Peter for the 2011-2012 quiz year. We practice once a week and quiz one Sunday afternoon a month.
January’s quiz was held here at Center Bethel on January 8th. Center Bethel 1 came in at third place and Center Bethel 2 finished in 10th place. We also welcomed three new teams from the Breakneck church this month. In individual scores, Alyssa Prinkey came in at third place and Paige Bowman came in at fifth place. Coby Penska came in at fifth place in the Junior High quizzing. Next month’s Quiz Meet will be held at Mt Pleasant on February 12th. You are invited to attend and cheer on our quizzers.
